WeLayThereMoving
By Cristian Duarte in collaboration with the second year students in Dance and Choreography
WeLayThereMoving is an invitation to navigate a stream made of archives driven by a tactile dramaturgy where memory, movement sensation, and decision-making are the primary substances of motion. We are of one mind, deep down, dispossessing repertoires to meet the other in a collective massage in the fascia of perception. How does sensation feel in the era where pixels are as flesh as the mind is a muscle? Has memory become a meme? What persists in us? Can patterns change when all we ever wanted is stability in the body and in the bank? Why do some movements and ideas from the past insist on being present? Let's devour all those questions. All of those broken bits of familiar ghosts. Taste the anthropophagic flavor. Feel how it lies in you.
WeLayThereMoving is danced to a new music created by brazilian composer and musician Tom Monteiro.
