shapes shift
and games change
waves break

retreat in
out
and keep going
to places
I no longer know
but recognize
when I get there
A group gathers in a shapeshifting meeting place. Here they hang out and keep unfolding their relationships to one another and the room. Mundane actions blend with reemerging dances. Roles are switching between embodying protagonist, support act or landscape. As the room tunes in to different places and associations, the performers keep seeking the threshold where one thing becomes another, finding strategies to morph and lean into the presence of each situation.
For the making of this performance, Joana Öhlschläger continues her interest in the complexity and poetics of meeting places that emerge through choreographic strategies and finds new expressions for it in close collaboration with the BA students in Dance and Choreography and composer Simon Richardt.
