BLUE is a captivating performance by the German-Swedish duo Anja Bothe (MFA in Performing Arts // Acting) and Daniella Eriksson (dancer and choreographer), accompanied by the Danish cellist Kamill Bendo (BA student, The Royal Academy of Music).
Blurring the lines between fiction and reality, BLUE blends movement, sound, and language into an interdisciplinary experience that seduces the audience to coexist in one mind. In eccentric costumes with abstract shapes and bright colors, the trio uses humor and absurdity to draw attention to some of the challenges we face as humans today. An almost unfiltered stream of consciousness, unfolding from braiding improvisation games with Anja Bothe’s self-written text Milky Wall, runs as a trajectory through the performance.
By investigating the times we live in, BLUE puts a spotlight on questions such as What seems to be important today? Where do we belong? And how can we turn stress into a relieving stretch?
