A workshop for advanced and professional dancers with dancer and choreographer Adam Linder.
Adam Linder has honed a choreographic language that hybridizes technical, street, animal, and digital elements.
In this workshop, he will share his approach through various prompts and exercises, including unrestricted improvisation, guided scores, and the articulation of composed material.
The workshop is offered in collaboration with København Danser Studios.
Adam Linder is a Sydney-born dancer and choreographer based in Berlin. Trained at The Royal Ballet School in London, he went on to perform with The Royal Ballet, Michael Clark Company and Meg Stuart’s Damaged Goods.
Linder’s work is devoted to the specifics of dance and often holds a mirror up to the discipline itself. He works across multiple formats, often in the theatre or the exhibition space. The classical, the technological, the animal, the expressive, and the absurd all play a role in a politics of shapeshifting that underpins his artistic practice.
His work has been presented by institutions including MoMA, Sadler’s Wells, HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Kampnagel and the Hammer Museum. He has also created commissioned works for Sydney Dance Company, Ballet de Lorraine and Danish Dance Theatre.
Adam Linder’s critically acclaimed 2024 work Drip Tekhne, created and choreographed in close collaboration with the dancers of Danish Dance Theatre, was presented at the Venice Biennale this summer and continues its international tour in the coming year.
