Students of Insistence
Matija Ferlin with the project “Students of Insistence” continues choreographic research in the direction of discovering new forms of stage approach to classical drama text. This time he is relying on an audio score taken from the video documentation of the author's solo play “Staging a play: Antigone” from 2018. The sound images created by the body of the text, treated here as a unique musical score, in collaboration with fourteen performers creates the frame for choreographic strategies of re-interpretation.
Performative tasks ultimately results in a precise and stratified stage mechanism that creates the bodies of questions and possibilities, charged with the complex structure that is forced to the inevitable process of re-inventing itself.
