about
Anonymous Mesh deals with anonymity as a strategy for collective thinking - and collective creation.
Built on a process of anonymous imaginary planning, the performance blurs the individual identity of the performers - to focus only on the power of thought, creation and performance that evolve in the space between us.
The performance was created partly online while the students were separated due to the lockdown situation, and partly in the studio.
The virtual experience of Anonymous Mesh consists of both live writing and live video and audio streaming that you can access from home. All you have to do is click the links below in good time before the performance starts. During the performance, you may freely visit the live writing and the livestream in a flow that suits you.
1. LIVE WRITING VIA GOOGLE DOCS
Click HERE to access the Google Doc
The performance is created around a live co-writing by the 15 performers. The writing is an imaginary planning of the different parts of the performance. Experiencing the performance virtually - you can follow this live writing by clicking on the link above.
2. LIVESTREAMING OF VIDEO AND 3D SOUND
Click HERE to access the livestream
Through the livestream, you will experience the movement of the dancers through the streaming of 3D sound from the performance space.
The image that follows the 3D sound is obstructed, revealing only a bird’s view of the space. Consequently, the shadows of the performers are more present than the faces of each individual – a play with anonymity but also an encouragement to you, the viewer, to experience the performance through the imaginations sparked from the live writing and the sound of the moving bodies in the performance space.
Please note:
- To be able to hear the 3D sound you need to wear headphones.
- If you have trouble accessing the livestream through the link above, simply find the livestream on YouTube by searching for the channel Den Danske Scenekunstskole. It will be visible in the search results whenever it is live.
- Please do not record any images, screenshots, videos, or soundbites while the performance takes place.
