routes cross
and plans change
shapes shift
and games change
waves break
and clouds arrange
retreat in
out
and keep going
to places
I no longer know
but recognize
when I get there
This performance seeks the threshold where one thing becomes another. Through iteration processes, a dance is unravelled into many. Its different expressions and timelines become the undercurrent for a shapeshifting meeting place.
The associations drift from one place to another. All the way to the shoreline, where the feet get muddy and the mind goes clear.
For the making of this performance Joana Öhlschläger continues her interest in the complexity and poetics of meeting places that emerge through choreographic strategies and finds new expressions for it in close collaboration with the first year students of BA in Dance and Choreography.
