Board of directors

The Board of Directors of The Danish National School of Performing Arts holds the overall responsibility for the school's operations and strategy. It is the school's management that is responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration.

In the boardroom, all board members work to fulfill the tasks set by the Ministry of Culture: the most important tasks are to enter into agreements with the ministry, to oversee the school's finances, and to ensure that stakeholders are involved so that the school's educational programs remain relevant and continuously develop. The board is continuously updated by the management regarding the school's daily operations.

Orientation 7 March 2025
 
The employee representative for The Danish National School of Performing Arts' teachers, Peter Kunz, has at his own request informed the head of the board that he wishes to resign from the board with immediate effect. In his place, alternate Laura Navndrup Black will therefore join the board as employee representative for the school's teachers. 

Chair of the Board, Eva Præstiin says:
 
"I would like to acknowledge Peter's great work on The Board of Directors at The Danish National School of Performing Arts. At the same time, I would like to welcome Laura as the new representative for the school's teachers. I look forward to getting to know Laura even better, and I expect that she - together with the other representatives for the school's employees and students - will play a key role when we work to develop The Danish National School of Performing Arts as a workplace for our employees and students."

The board has four external members appointed by the Minister of Culture and three internally elected members - one student, one teacher and one technical-administrative employee.

The current board is appointed/elected from 1 September 2023 to 31 January 2028.
