Two pieces abstracting from the theme of distance.

Video installation by M. Vedel.

The research touches upon elements of time/memory, circularity/systems, limitations/obstructions, alone together/together alone, asking questions like: When is something or someone distant? Can distance have a will of its own? Is it the distance between the lines, that defines the line itself? Can the shape change the distance/the distance change the shape?

From the research sprung two videos:

THE DISTANCE’S PRIVILEGE  [ DISTANCENS PRIVILEGIE ]

5 figures share a state of mind. Separately connected by limitations, sound and shapes.

WE LONG POSTPONED  [ VI UDSATTE LÆNGE ]

Hide and seek in solitude. Perhaps it has long past, perhaps it just started.
