In order to apply for exchange to DASPA you need to be enrolled full time at a recognised higher artistic education.
DASPA is cooperating with a number of partner schools in Europe within the exchange-programmes Erasmus+ and Nordplus. If you are a student at a European institution, we advise you to consult the international office at your home institution to inquire about Erasmus+ and Nordplus funding opportunities.
Students may apply for a whole semester (30 ECTS) or a 12-week period. European exchanges usually take place under the ERASMUS+ program.
An inter-institutional exchange agreement should be organised between DASPA and your home institution prior to the exchange.
If you are a student coming from an institution outside Europe, or an institution that is not part of the Erasmus+ or the Nordplus programme, you are welcome to contact our international office to inquire about possible arrangements.
If you are a student at one of the six other higher education institutions under the Danish Ministry of Culture, you are likewise welcome to apply for exchange.
Danish students may apply on the same conditions as international exchange aspirants. Please submit your application thorugh DASPA's application portal.

Exchange applicants should be enrolled in a MFA or MA programme in their home institution in order to be considered for exchange. Exchange students will be enrolled in the education on the second semester, consisting of an artistic research module and an elective module.
The recent transition of the education from 4 to 3 years, with intake of full-time enrolled students every second year, has challenged the capacity to accomodate exchange students to the education with a continuos pace every semester. Generally it is difficult to accomodate exchange students during autumn semesters in odd-numbered years: Autumn semester 19, 21, 23 and so forth. In these semesters the education will rarely welcome exchange students. It does however keep the possibility open for students who are enrolled in the 3rd year in their home institution or is studying on MA level. Potential exchange students would be enrolled with the 3rd year class from DASPA. During the semester the main attention will be on mentoring bachelor projects which students work on individually or in smaller groups. Potential exchange students should therefore be highly capable and motivated to work on their own artistic project, with mentoring from the teachers in the education. If you would like to apply for exchange in an odd-numbered autumn semester, and you meet the criteria set out above, we kindly ask you to consult with the responsible persons in the education prior to uploading your application. You can contact either Malin Astner, Tiziana Fracchiolla or Rasmus Ölme about this.
In the remaining semesters it is more accessible to be accepted as exchange student, if you are enrolled in a similar programme on higher educational level. Following is an overview of the educational context which future exchange students will be enrolled in:
Spring semester 2020: 1st year, 2nd semester
Autumn semester 2020: 2nd year, 3rd semester
Spring semester 2021: 2nd year, 4th semester
We have a limited option for exchange students at the Acting programme. There are only few places available and the language of instruction is mostly Danish.
We do however accept applications from talented and highly motivated acting students from other higher education institutions.
If you understand and speak Danish, you will most likely be able to follow the full program at one of our acting departments situated in Aarhus, Copenhagen and Odense. If you are not proficient in Danish, we will put together a program for you combining the different courses taught in English at our three acting departments. Given the organisational and logistical challenges in this regard, we are less likely to accept non-Danish speaking students.
We have limited options to welcome exchange students to the Musical Theatre programme. There are only a few places available and the language of instruction is mostly Danish.
We do however accept applications from talented and highly motivated Musical Theatre students from other higher education institutions.
In the spring semester 2020, we welcome applications for exchange to all specialisations and can offer 30 ECTS to enrolled exchange students.
