The objective of the acting programme is to educate creative and independent actors who with artistic, theoretical and practical skills at the highest level are capable of working within a broad spectrum of performing arts formats as creative and interpretive artists. Based upon the individual student’s artistic abilities the programme provides a solid foundation of craftsmanship skills, which enables the student to assertively evaluate artistic challenges and select solutions founded upon each student’s personal strength.
The programme is characterised by close interaction between practice, theory and reflection and focuses on the student’s work with voice and body, dramatic method, contextual knowledge and professional and cross-disciplinary projects. As the programme progresses, the encounter with the audience becomes an increasingly pivotal part of the programme, and the student learns to both develop own artistic projects and to participate in artistic communities for the purpose of exploring and challenging the performing arts. The programme qualifies the graduate to work within all professional acting fields in a constantly changing job market.
